World population reaches 8 billion

The 8 billionth child in the world has been born. According to the site https://www.worldometers.info/ which tracks the population in real time, this child was born at around 1.30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. With this, the world’s population has reached 8 billion (800 crore).

It was also estimated in the United Nations Report on Population that on 15 November 2022, the world’s population would be 8 billion.

The special thing in this figure of increase in population is that the world population has increased by 200 crores in the last 24 years only. The world population was 600 crore in 1998, which increased to 700 crore in 2010. In the next 12 years i.e. 2022, there was an increase of 100 crores in the population and on 15th November 2022 the 8 billionth child was born in the world.

Population increased by 1 billion people in 14 years

Health services improved rapidly with the Industrial Revolution. As a result, the number of children born and women who died at the time of delivery decreased. Simultaneously, the increase in population accelerated. From 1930 to 1960, the population of the world increased from 2 billion to 3 billion, while in just 14 years the population reached 3 billion to 4 billion.

In the next 18 years population estimated to reach 8.5 billion

If we look at the latest trends, in just 12 years the number of human beings present on the earth has increased from 7 billion to 8 billion. According to UN estimates, by 2030 the world’s population may increase to 8.5 billion. Although the UN has also said that for the first time since 1950, the rate of population growth in 2020 has registered a decline of one percent.
