Uttarakhand weather update: Rains expected till August 27

There is little hope of relief for the next four days due to continuous rains. There is a possibility of light to heavy rain in the next four days in eight districts of the state. However, relief from rain is expected in Uttarakhand after August 27. According to the Meteorological Department, after this the monsoon will start slowing down.

It has been raining heavily in most parts of Uttarakhand for the past several days. At present, till August 27, rains are expected in most of the districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Bageshwar. On Thursday, there may be heavy rainfall at some places in these districts. There are chances of lightening with thunder and heavy to very heavy spells of rain.

Whereas, on August 25, 26 and 27, there may be light rains in most of the districts of the state. Yellow alert has been issued for these three days. Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Department, said that the trough line that draws moisture from the Arabian Sea is still close to us. Due to this it is raining continuously. In the next four days, the line may move to the other side, which may bring relief from rain.
