IIM Indore student bags Rs 49 lakh per annum job

Amidst the impact of Covid-19 on the economies of the world, a company has offered an annual salary of Rs 49 lakh to a student of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-I) in Indore for a job in the country. This is the highest offer of annual salary package during the final placements of this session in IIM-I, which is 18 per cent higher than the maximum offered last time. An official of IIM-I gave this information on Sunday.

The official said that during the last placement session of IIM-I students last year, the highest job package offered in the country was Rs 41.5 lakh per annum. He said that more than 180 domestic and foreign companies involved as employers in final placement made a record salary offers of Rs 25.01 lakh on an average basis to a total of 572 students of IIM-I and this figure is 6 percent more than from last year’s average salary of Rs 23.6 lakh.

According to official information, a total of 572 students of IIM-I’s two-year Post Graduate Program (PGP) and five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) managed to get job offers in the final placements.
