People with recent travel history increase Corona case count in Uttarakhand
Corona infected cases are continuously increasing in Uttarakhand. Four more new cases (one Dehradun, one Pauri and two Nainital) have surfaced on Friday, May 15. Corona infection has also been found in the son of an infected woman who returned to Dehradun from Delhi. At the same time, a youth returned from Gurugram to Kotdwar in Pauri has also been found infected. Two corona positives have also emerged in Nainital. With these, the number of infected cases in the state has gone up to 82. While 50 infected patients have returned home after winning the battle of life against coronavirus.
Corona positive in Pauri district after 50 days
Corona has been confirmed in a 25-year-old youth resident of Kotdwar in Pauri district. The infected youth returned to Kotdwar two days ago from Gurugram. The young man was quarantined even before reaching the village. A sample of the youth was sent to AIIMS Rishikesh from Base Hospital Kotdwar to check for signs of corona infection. His report has come positive. All the patients who have come so far in the last one week are migrants. An 11-year-old girl and a 24-year-old youth in Nainital district have been found corona infected today.
On Friday late evening, two people, including an 11-year-old girl, have been confirmed to be suffering from coronavirus. An 11-year-old girl resident of Kaladhungi from Nainital district and a 24-year-old youth from Betalghat have also been reported corona positive.
Both of them also returned to Uttarakhand in a government bus from Gurugram Haryana on May 10. After preliminary investigation, they were sampled and admitted to the isolation center.
As such, the total number of corona positive patients till date in Uttarakhand has now increased from 78 to 82. The number of active cases in the state is currently 30.
