Uttarakhand corona update: 16 cases found on 18 August
On Wednesday, 16 new cases of corona infection were found in Uttarakhand, while one patient died. 29 patients recovered after beating Corona. According to the Health Department, test reports of 19,108 samples were received from private and government labs. Of these, the report of 19,092 samples has come negative. Maximum 6 people have been found infected in Bageshwar. Apart from this, 5 people have been found infected in Dehradun, 1 each in Champawat, Nainital, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi. No new cases of infection have been found in Almora, Chamoli, Haridwar, Pauri, Pithoragarh and Tehri.
So far 342668 cases of corona have been reported in the state. Of these, 328914 people have become healthy. At present there are 331 active cases of corona. While 7374 corona infected patients have died.
Over 71 thousand people got vaccinated
The vaccination campaign to prevent corona infection is also going on at a fast pace. On Wednesday, 71 thousand 402 persons were vaccinated at 712 centers in the state. So far 57,11,294 persons have received the first dose of the vaccine in the state. While 17,90,218 have been fully vaccinated. 30,67,526 persons in the age group of 18 to 44 have received both the first and 2,21,610 doses of the vaccine.
