Heavy rains predicted in Uttarakhand in next few days

The Meteorological Department has predicted the arrival of monsoon in the state in the next three to four days. It has been raining since morning in many areas of Doon. Due to rain in the rest of the state, the temperature has dropped.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, till June 30, there will be an alert regarding rain, bad weather in the state. On Monday, there is a yellow alert for heavy rain at some places in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat districts. In the rest of the mountainous areas, there is a possibility of lightning, heavy showers, wind speed reaching thirty to forty km per hour.

On June 28, there is a yellow alert of heavy rain in Dehradun, Bageshwar, Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh. On 29th, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Chamoli, Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh. Director of Meteorological Department Bikram Singh said that monsoon is now about to knock in the state. In the next three to four days, there is every possibility of the onset of Southwest Monsoon in the state. The conditions are favorable for the advance of monsoon in the state.

Now caution will have to be taken regarding rain in the hilly districts. When it rains, it would be better to stay at a safe place instead of proceeding on the journey in the hills. On Sunday, it rained in Pantnagar, Uttarkashi, Tapovan, Chamoli, Karnprayag, Ukhimath, Nandprayag, Loharkhet, Tanakpur, Bageshwar etc. Due to which the temperature of these places has dropped.
