No Corona positive case found in Uttarakhand since May 4; Total active cases 21
In a time when Corona cases have spiked up alarmingly across India, there is some relief news from Uttarakhand. No cases of corona infection have been found in the state on Thursday. 481 sample negatives have been found in the investigation report. While the investigation report of 257 samples is awaited.
At the same time, the rate of infection in the state has doubled to 71 days. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, 481 samples have been reported from Dehradun, Haldwani, Srinagar, AIIMS Rishikesh and private pathology labs. Corona infection has not been found in any sample. 258 samples have been sent for testing from all over the state on May 7.
Additional secretary health Yugal Kishore Pant said that no corona case has been found in Uttarakhand for the last 3 days i.e since May 4. The rate of corona infection in the state has doubled to 71 days. He told that more than eight thousand people are home quarantined in the entire state. While three thousand people are in the facility quarantine.
The pace of testing slows
At the same time, rapid antibody test has not been started in the state for prevention of infection and RC-PRC testing is also slow. Rapid antibodies imported from China are not available in the state for rapid antibody test kits.
Among the corona infected patients found so far in Uttarakhand, 85 percent of the patients are male. While women make up 15 percent of the patients. The government and health department have kept the corona infection under control in the state to a large extent. The rate of doubling of corona cases in the state is constantly improving.
