Class 12 Board exams 2021: Center asks suggestions from state

In the high-level meeting on 12th class board exams and entrance examinations held today, the Union Ministry of Education has asked for suggestions from all the states in writing by 25 May.

Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ tweeted that all the states have been requested to send their suggestions in writing by 25 May. He said that this high-level meeting has been very useful as it has reviewed the existing conditions.

Nishank wrote, ‘I am confident that we will soon take our final decision regarding the class 12 board examinations through collective decision and will be able to remove the uncertainty prevailing in the minds of the students and parents.’

Education Minister ‘Nishank’ said, ‘The safety and future of students, teachers is of paramount importance to us.’

The Chief Ministers, Education Ministers and officials associated with the world’s largest education system also thanked the Union Education Minister for attending the high-level meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

The new dates of the 12th examination may be announced on 1 June 2021 by the CBSE. Earlier, CBSE had announced to postpone the 12th examinations till June 1. On the other hand, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said on Sunday that the state board exams of 10th, 12th can be decided on June 1 after taking suggestions from students-parents and teachers. About 1.5 crore students will appear in the 12th examination of state boards, CBSE and ISC boards.
