Uttarakhand daily Corona update: No new corona case in 6 districts

No new corona patients were found on Thursday in Almora, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts of the state. While 1 in Bageshwar & Chamoli, 3 in Pauri, 5 in US Nagar, 11 in Nainital, 17 in Haridwar, 44 people have been confirmed for corona virus in Dehradun.

According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Thursday, a total of 82 new corona patients were found in the state and three infected people died. With this, the total number of patients in the state has gone up to 95908 while the death toll has come down to 1642. 178 patients were discharged on Thursday after recovering.

Due to which the number of patients has been cured at 91597 and 1338 patients are admitted in the state hospitals. One died at Doon Medical College on Thursday, one at Haldwani Medical College while one infected at Kailash Hospital died. Samples of more than eight thousand people have been sent for investigation.

The report of nine thousand has come negative while the samples of 10,000 have yet to be investigated. The recovery rate of patients in the state has been 95.51. While the rate of infection has increased to 4.56. There is also no containment zone in the state.

4827 health workers of the state get vaccinated

Corona vaccination of 4827 health workers was conducted at 68 vaccination booths in the state on Thursday. With this, the total number of health workers vaccinated in the state has reached 19517. According to the Corona Vaccination Bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Thursday, maximum 905 health workers were vaccinated in the capital Dehradun. While 772 have been vaccinated in Pauri, 550 in US Nagar, 454 in Haridwar.

State immunization officer Dr. Kuldeep Singh Martolia, who is looking at the immunization drive in the state, said that the enthusiasm for corona vaccination among the health workers is increasing and the number of vaccinators will increase rapidly in the coming days. It is known that around 87 thousand health workers in the state have been identified for corona vaccination and a special campaign is going on for this from 16 January. Initially fewer people were coming for vaccination but now this number is increasing.

With the increase in enthusiasm among the health workers towards vaccination, now the Health Department is going to increase the number of vaccination booths in the state. State immunization officer Dr. Kuldeep Singh Martolia informed that a total of 124 booths will be have vaccination drive in the state on Friday. He informed that the booth selection work for corona vaccination has been given to the Chief Medical Officers and 124 booths have been selected on the basis of CMO report. He said that the corona vaccine is completely safe and in view of this, a large number of health workers are applying the vaccine.
