Uttarakhand weather update: Some relief from scorching temperatures expected today
For the last few days, people are troubled by the hot wind accompanied by strong sunlight. The temperature is going above 38 degree Celsius. Some relief from the heat is expected on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light-moderate, light rain with thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly areas.
In Doon too, there are chances of lightning with light rain and thunder at some places during the night. Along with this, there is a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour across the state. For the last few days, the sun and hot winds have made it difficult for people to come out of their homes. Even the cooler-fan is not providing relief from the heat. People are waiting for monsoon to arrive for relief from the heat. There may be some relief in the mountainous areas on Thursday.
Lightning will shine with thunder in mountainous areas
According to the Meteorological Department, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli districts and hilly districts of Kumaon division may receive light to moderate rain and thundershowers. There is a possibility of very light rain with thunder in the remaining districts of the state.
In Dehradun, the sky will be clear to partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain in some areas during evening and night. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for lightning, heavy rain and strong winds with a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour in the hilly areas of the state. The maximum and minimum temperature in Doon is expected to be 38 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius.
