Uttarakhand government issues list of holidays in 2020

The government on Monday declared a holidaylist for the year 2020 under the Public, Restricted and Negotiable Instruments Act 1881. 23 public holidays have been declared for the coming year, while in the year 2019 there were 22 holidays. This time the festival of Rakshabandhan has also been included in the public holiday list.
Apart from this, four holidays have been declared as public holidays, but they will not be applicable in the Secretariat, Assembly and the office where the five-day week is applicable. The government has kept 18 restricted holidays. 21 holidays have been declared for banks, treasuries and treasuries.

Four more public holidays

The government has declared four more public holidays. This holiday will not be applicable in the Secretariat, Assembly and five-day week offices. These holidays will be considered in the list of unopposed holidays in these offices. These four holidays will be Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti – 2 January, Cheti chand – 26 March, Vishwakarma Puja – 17 September and Guru Tegh Bahadur Shaeed Diwas – 20 November.
