Jadeja’s all-round show puts India firmly in command

In the first test between India and Sri Lanka in Mohali, Team India has enforced the follow-on to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka were all out for 174 in the first innings. Pathum Nissanka remained unbeaten on the score of 61 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets for India. At the same time, R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah got 2 wickets each.

Earlier, Team India had declared on the score of 574/8 in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 175 while scoring his second century of his career. At the same time, Rishabh Pant (96), R Ashwin (61) and Hanuma Vihari contributed 58 runs.

Jadeja took 2 wickets in 3 balls

Dickwella was caught by Shreyas Iyer at square leg. Lakmal’s catch was taken by Ashwin at mid-off. Jadeja then took the wickets of Vishwa Fernando (0) and Lahiru Kumara (0) to complete a five-for.

Bumrah got the first success on the third day

Jasprit Bumrah gave India the first breakthrough on the third day. He dismissed Charith Aslanka (29). The umpire gave Aslanka not out, but India reviewed and replays showed the ball was hitting the wicket. Pathum Nisaanka and Charith Aslanka added 58 runs in 120 balls for the 5th wicket.
