Total active corona cases in Uttarakhand nears 6000

The death toll is also increasing with the number of corona infected patients in Uttarakhand. On Sunday, 664 new cases of corona were reported in the state, while 480 were cured. The maximum number of 183 cases came from Udham Singh Nagar, 126 from Haridwar and 120 from Dehradun. 46 cases were reported from Uttarkashi, 39 Nainital, 36 Pithoragarh, 27 Almora, 26 Tehri, 24 Chamoli, 20 Pauri, 8 Rudraprayag, 5 Champawat, 4 Bageshwar. At the same time, the total number of positives in the state has reached 19235, out of which 13004 have recovered. There are currently 5912 active cases, while 257 have died.

Two people dead, including Corona-infected police constable

Two people, including a Corona-infected police constable, have died at Doon Medical College Hospital. According to the hospital administration, the 42-year-old resident of Vikasnagar Dehradun was a constable in the Uttarakhand police. Presently, he was posted in Haridwar district. The family was admitted to a private hospital near Ballupur Chowk when his health deteriorated. The constable was referred to Doon Hospital late Saturday when Corona investigation report came positive, where he died during treatment. At the same time, the 64-year-old elderly resident of Ranipur Mor was admitted to the hospital on August 17. The elderly were admitted to the ICU when the condition became critical. The elderly died during treatment. The hospital’s deputy MS Dr NS Khatri confirmed the deaths of two Corona-infected patients.

Woman dies in Doon Medical College Hospital

A 30-year-old woman admitted to Doon Medical College Hospital died on Sunday. The woman, was admitted to the hospital on 22 August. Corona was confirmed in the woman, three patients have died in the hospital in the last 24 hours.

Nagar Nigam Dehradun to remain closed tomorrow

Sanitization work will be done in the entire Municipal Corporation office on August 31, after coronavirus has been confirmed in a home guard soldier posted in Municipal Corporation Dehradun. Keeping in view the public interest, the city commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has informed that the office will be closed for the common people on Monday. Along with the birth certificate and death certificate, people coming for the building tax and other work are requested not to come to the Municipal Corporation office on Monday.
