Uttarakhand sees highest spike of 2078 cases, total case count crosses 40000

The record of new cases of corona infection once again broke in Uttarakhand on 19th September. On Saturday, the number of new patients found in the state crossed two thousand. Today, 2087 new cases have been reported in Uttarakhand.

There are 12465 Corona active cases in the state. Today, 878 patients were cured. After this, now the total corona infected cases of Uttarakhand have crossed forty thousand. So far, 40085 positive cases have been found in the state. Out of which 26973 patients have been cured.

On Saturday, 14 corona infected died

On Saturday, a record 2078 cases have been registered, of which 668 are from Dehradun. Apart from this, 397 Udham Singh Nagar, 289 Haridwar, 231 Nainital, 146 Tehri Garhwal, 99 Pauri Garhwal, 54 Chamoli, 67 Uttarkashi, 39 Pithoragarh, 19 Champawat, 13 each in Rudraprayag and Bageshwar, 43 have been reported in Almora. At the same time, 878 have been cured, while 14 have died. The number of infected patients has now increased to 40085 in the state. However, 26973 of these have fully recovered. At present, 12465 cases are active, while 478 have died. Apart from this, 169 patients have gone out of the state. The Corona infection rate has crossed 7 percent in Uttarakhand. The 4 districts of Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar continue to be worst effected by Corona in Uttarakhand.

Near 50 percent positivity rate in private lab testing in Doon

The alarming stat from Saturday’s health report of Uttarakhand is that 396 positive cases were found through private lab testing in Dehradun out of 829 sample results. This translates to a 48 positivity rates in samples tested through private labs in Dehradun.
