Haridwar: Lawyers under the aegis of the Uttarakhand Bar Association will boycott work from July 7 to 9. A decision in this regard was taken at the state-level convention.
Bar Association office-bearers said the three-day boycott of legal work was to apprise the government of their issues, including their opposition to the Union government’s move to allow foreign lawyers to practise in Indian courts.

The Bar Association formed a special committee to ensure that the mass boycott of work was observed across the state. Newly elected state president of the association Surendra Mittal said the condition of the legal structure was not up to the mark in the state and litigants were facing inconvenience and delay in getting justice.
