New rail line to be laid between Kashipur and Dhampur
The railway line between Kashipur to Dhampur, which is important for the development of Uttarakhand, is expected to get the approval of the Ministry of Railways soon. Rajya Sabha MP and BJP’s national media in-charge Anil Baluni has met Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to demand this line. Goyal has assured Baluni that they will soon approve it. MP Baluni met Railway Minister Piyush Goyal at his Rail Bhawan office and informed him that the rail route between Kathgodam to Doon between Garhwal and Kumaon goes via Rampur Moradabad. Moradabad is a busy junction due to which trains have to stand for several hours outside.
The journey will be made easier by the construction of new routes. He said that with the construction of 70 km new rail from Kashipur to Dhampur, the passengers will have to cover a distance of about 50 km and will save 2 hours. During the meeting, the Railway Minister told Baluni that the work of railway projects in Uttarakhand is in the Prime Minister’s priorities and progress will also be made on this important subject. Baluni has said that the construction of this railway line will reduce the travel distance between Garhwal Kumaon and the general public will also get relief and the expansion of Kashipur and Dhampur rail junction will also increase local business activities.
