Infrastructure development along India-China border in Uttarakhand to be sped up

Road construction work will now be accelerated in the Niti and Mana Valley of the China border area adjoining Uttarakhand Chamoli. 230 workers called from Jharkhand by the Border Roads Organization reached Niti and Mana Valley on Wednesday. While 450 local laborers will also be involved in road construction. Hill cutting and other works of the border areas will start from Thursday.

The central government is constantly monitoring the construction of both the roads in Niti and Mana Valley. This is the reason why higher officials of BRO are also constantly inspecting the road construction to complete it on a war footing. Work was stopped due to lockdown.

Hill cutting has been done ahead of Sumana in Neeti Valley, while road construction work is going on a war footing till Mana Pass in Mana Valley. Their work will also start from Thursday. BRO commander Colonel Manish Kapil said that 450 local laborers have been engaged in road construction work. Road construction work will be completed in Niti and Mana Valley soon.
