Weather changes color in Uttarakhand fresh snowfall in Chardham

In Uttarakhand on Friday, the rain Gods were relentless for the whole day. Auli, Hemkund Sahib, including the four dhams received snowfall, life was affected due to snowfall in the high altitude areas and rain in the lowlands.
In the summer capital of Uttarakhand, Bhararisain (Garsain), there was heavy snowfall on the fourth day of the budget session. The surrounding hills, including the snow-filled Banni Saina, were covered with a white sheet of snow. Ministers and MLAs could not even go to lunch due to snowfall. People who came to see the assembly’s action also got stuck there due to rain and snowfall. The queen of the mountains, Mussoorie, has also received snowfall alongwith tourist town of Dhanaulti.

High altitude places including Badrinath, Hemkund and Auli received heavy snowfall in Chamoli district. Tourists enjoyed the snowfall in Auli. Kedarnath, Madmaheshwar, Tungnath and other high altitude areas in Rudraprayag district received heavy snowfall. The process of rain and snowfall started in Uttarkashi district on Thursday also continued on Friday. Including Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, the areas of Mukhba, Harshil, Sukki, Jankichatti, Kharsali, Sankri, which are more than two and a half thousand meters above sea level, have received heavy snowfall.

Fresh rains and snowfall have caused a drastic drop in temperature. In the district, where mercury reached 20 °C in the past days. On Friday, the maximum temperature in the low-lying areas including the district headquarters was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius and minimum 3 degrees Celsius. Whereas snowfall areas, including Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham, recorded a maximum temperature of two degrees and a minimum of minus eight degrees Celsius.

In the fourth day of the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha in Uttarakhand, Bhararisain received heavy snowfall. The surrounding hills, including the snow-filled Banni Saina, were covered with a white sheet of snow. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat left for Srinagar by car due to inclement weather.

On Friday, during the afternoon of the budget session,snowfall started in Bhararisain. There were also many ministers, MLAs and officials in the session who saw snow fall for the first time. Theywas thrilled to see this beautiful view of nature. Many were also seen taking selfies during the snowfall. The situation was that a thick sheet of snow was spread outside the main gate of the assembly, making the way there quite slippery. Many legislators and officials kept falling in the snow.

Kandi-Laxmanjhula road blocked due to debris

The torrential rains, which have been happening since five o’clock in the morning, have disrupted life in the city and surrounding hills. The cold has knocked the area once again due to rain. People took out there warm clothes again. Due to the rains, the Kandi Laxmanjhula State Highway has been blocked due to debris near Bithyani, due to which people are facing difficulty in moving to Rishikesh, Dehradun, Haridwar.

Due to heavy rains in Yamakeshwar, the Kandi-Laxmanjhula motor road was blocked due to debris near Bithyani, causing people to have trouble coming to Rishikesh, Dehradun. Cutting was done to connect the Bithyani-Dhunga-Banchuri route near Bithyani, the debris coming on the Kandi-Laxmanjhula motor route and the Bithyani-Yamakeshwar motor route.

Dhanaulti, Kanatal, Pratapnagar received 15th snowfall

On Friday, the weather changed again. Temperatures have plummeted. Several places of high altitude including Dhanaulti, Kanatal, Pratapnagar received record snowfall for the 15th time.

The district, including the district headquarters, received heavy rain on Friday with strong winds. Suddenly heavy rain started at 11 am, which continued till late evening. Dhanaulti, Kanatal, Thangadhar, Kaddukhal, Pratapnag received light snowfall. On Friday, the district headquarters recorded a maximum temperature of nine degrees and a minimum of two degrees Celsius.
