Rains expected in hills of Uttarakhand due to active Western Distubance
Due to the activation of Western Disturbance in Uttarakhand, the weather pattern has started changing. Partly cloudy conditions are hovering in the hilly areas of the state. Although the sun is shining in the lower areas.
The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in the weather in the mountainous areas from Sunday. There may be light rain at some places. The weather may remain dry in the plains.
Steady rise in temperature
For the last several days, the weather is dry in the state and a steady rise in temperature is being recorded. Due to which the heat has started to be felt during the day. However, due to below normal rainfall throughout the winter, a arrival of summer well before time is expected.

Light rain and snow may occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar for the next few days. However, the weather is likely to remain dry over the plains. On March 1, a yellow alert has been issued regarding lightning in isolated areas in the state.
