Uttarakhand issues Corona home isolation guidelines

Like other states in Uttarakhand, arrangements have been made to keep the asymptomatic corona infected in home isolation. A guideline has been released for this. Home isolation will not be allowed to people over 60 years of age, patients with severe illness, children under 10 years, and pregnant women. Home isolation will not be allowed in the house in which people fall under this category. That is, the patient will have to be admitted to the hospital for treatment. The remaining non-symptomatic corona-infected individuals may remain at home isolation, provided a person is present at home to care for them. On Monday, Secretary Health Amit Negi released the guidelines for home isolation.

Health Secretary Amit Negi on Monday released a detailed guideline for the arrangement of keeping Corona infected in home isolation. According to the guidelines, home isolation will be provided to those corona infected patients who do not have severe corona symptoms. Patients’ home isolation will end 10 days after being found to be corona infected. It will be necessary that one does not have fever for the last three days. After this, the patient will stay at home for the next seven days and see their health. Testing will not be required at the end of home isolation.

  • Home isolation facility will be provided to those patients whom the doctor has identified as asymptomatic patient during treatment.
  • One person should be available for 24 hours patient care.
  • The person caring for the patient will maintain contact with the concerned hospital during the period of isolation.
  • Such patients have the facility to isolate themselves and quarantine their relatives. There should be a toilet room in the house for the patient and separate toilet for the caregiver.
  • Patients who are over 60 years of age or are suffering from other diseases, pregnant women, children under ten years of age and patients whose immunity is weak due to any reason will not be given home isolation facility.
  • Close contacts with the caregiver and the patient will have to be taken by hydroxychlorokine prophylaxis according to the protocol and treatment of the treating physician.
  • It would be necessary to download the Arogya Setu app in the phone. This app will always have to keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on. With this, the information has to be updated in this app twice a day. In the absence of a smartphone, you have to give your health information on the telephone of the control room.
  • The health department’s isolation app dgmhuk-covid19.in/covid19.apk has to be downloaded by the patient on his smart phone and filled in information regularly.
  • The patient will be sent to home isolation only after inspecting the facilities by the team home quarantine formed through the district’s chief medical officer.
