Corona restrictions increased till 20th November in Uttarakhand

Covid restrictions have been extended in Uttarakhand till 20 November. SOP has been issued in this regard by Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu. The new SOP has been issued for one month, in which neither any restrictions have been increased nor any new exemption has been given. The doors of Badrinath are closing on November 20 in the coming month. Only after this, changes will be made in the SOP keeping in view the prevailing circumstances.

Under the SOP issued on Monday, the Covid restrictions in the state from October 19 to November 20 will continue as before. According to the SOP, even now the weddings can be organized with 50 percent capacity of the wedding venue. Other social, religious, political events including Ramlila will also be able to take place with 50 percent capacity of the venue. It will be mandatory to follow the Covid protocol at all places.

Covid protocol will have to be followed in schools

Social distancing and sanitization will have to be given priority as before. Schools will be operated as per the guidelines of the Department of School Education. In order to avoid crowding at tourist places, the district administration has been instructed to strictly follow the COVID rules.

Registration required for those coming from outside

For people coming from outside states, the requirement of registration, vaccination report or negative report of Covid test on Smart City App has also been retained. These rules will also be applicable for the pilgrims coming on Chardham Yatra.

Be cautions ahead of the festive season

Corona is not over yet. So there is no room for negligence. Now that the festive season has started, people have to be even more careful than before. Avoid going to crowded places and keep using masks, sanitizers etc.
