CM Trivendra Singh Rawat on Thursday flagged off four raths – which are to ply on the four routes of Char Dham – to spread awareness on keeping the river clean. The four raths which would operate until the Char Dham yatra season ends, were flagged off from the chief minister’s office.

On the occasion Rawat said, “We have to bring back the holy river back in its natural form by running a campaign near its vast basin.” He pointed out that under the Rahstriya Swacchata Mission, the vehicles would operate on the different routes of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. “We need to take a pledge to keep the pollution free and make our best possible contribution to keep the river clean,” said the CM.
