5 shops burnt down by fire in Ranikhet’s sadar bazar

In the Sadar market of Ranikhet,  a fierce fire broke out on Wednesday morning. The raging flames engulfed the shops and warehouses in its grip. The Fire Brigade’s team, which reached the spot, managed to control the fire after 3 hours of hard work. The reason for the fire is being said as a short-circuit.

Goods worths lakhs of rupees in 4 shops and 1 warehouse was reduced to ashes in the inferno. However, the main reasons for the fire are yet to be ascertained. Firstly, the possibility of short-circuit is being proposed. According to the information, locals saw smoke rising in Sadar Bazar at 5:30 in the morning. By the time people went to see the fire flames had become high. With this, a crowd gathered there. People gave this information to the fire brigade. The fire brigade, police administration team and the Cantonment staff reached the spot and after heavy hardships were able to control the fire at around 8:30 am. Rural bank located near fire-affected shops narrowly missed out from being burnt down.
