Chardham Yatra 2023: New registrations for Kedarnath halted till May 25

A big update has come out on the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. In Uttarakhand weather forecast, an alert has been issued for the hilly districts on the Char Dham Yatra route. Pilgrims coming to Uttarakhand from other states of the country including MP, UP, Delhi-NCR may have to wait for a while for darshan.

In such a situation, the schedule of visiting the pilgrims may face difficulties. New registrations for Kedarnath darshan have been halted till May 25. The pause on new registration in Kedarnath Dham was till May 15, which has been extended. There has been snowfall in Kedarnath Dham on May 14 Sunday as well.

This decision has been taken to control the large number of devotees in Kedarnath Dham in inclement weather. Only those devotees who have registered prior will be able to have darshan. New devotees will be able to register from May 26. It is still snowing intermittently in Kedarnath.

On Sunday too, there was snowfall in Dham for half an hour. In view of the weather, new registration has been halted so that adequate arrangements can be made in the Dham for the registered devotees. The doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on 25 April and the doors of Badrinath Dham were opened on 27 April. The portals of Yamunotri and Gangotri temples were opened for pilgrims on 22 April.

Even after the halt on new registration, the number of registered devotees who visit Kedarnath daily is between 25 to 30 thousand.
