Schools for classes 6 to 8 to reopen from August 16 in Uttarakhand

In view of the decrease in the cases of corona in Uttarakhand, the Education Department has given permission to reopen schools in Uttarakhand. Schools from classes IX to XII have been opened since the beginning of August. Schools for classes VI to VIII will be opened from tomorrow. After getting permission from the Uttarakhand government, schools from classes VI to VIII will open in the second phase from August 16. Earlier, in the first phase, schools from class IX to XII have been opened and now preparations are being made to open junior school. Please note that it is mandatory for the students coming to school to bring the consent letter of the parents along with them. The school cannot force any parent to send their children to school. In Dehradun, there are over 1200 government, more than 900 private schools and 11 Kendriya Vidyalayas are ready to open from tomorrow. Although classes from IX to XII are being conducted offline in all these schools, but from tomorrow, schools from VI to XII will be opened all over Uttarakhand.

Chief Education Officer Dr Mukul Kumar Sati has said that before the opening of the school, it will be necessary for the schools to follow some important guidelines. Orders have been given to all schools to thoroughly sanitize the entire school premises as well as every class and with this no student or teacher will be allowed to enter the school without mask and thermal screening. To take care of cleanliness in the school, arrangements for sanitization will also have to be made compulsorily and at the same time, social distancing among the students will also have to be taken care of. It will be necessary to bring the consent letter of the parents along with the students of all the schools and students without the consent letter will not be allowed to enter the schools. In the first phase, schools from class IX to XII were opened from August 2 and now junior schools are being opened in the second phase and the department has also issued SOP regarding this.
