Virat Kohli suffers neck injury; won’t play county for Surrey

BCCI has confirmed the injury of Indian team captain Virat Kohli. The Board has told that Virat Kohli has been hurt in the neck and will not be able to play county cricket for Surrey. Kohli went to a hospital in Mumbai for a checkup after which it was reported that he had slip disc and he could not play county cricket for Surrey before the Indian team’s tour of England. However, BCCI has clarified that Kohli does not have a slip disc. It is being told that Kohli will now be in India. His fitness test is to be held on 15th June.
A BCCI official said, “Virat had a sprain in the neck in the IPL match against Rajasthan Royals. The pain was reduced but he went for a checkup as a precaution. Kohli has played nine Tests, 29 ODIs and nine T20 Internationals since June 2017. Apart from this, he also played 14 matches of the IPL in this season.
