Joint Military training of India and Nepal armies begin in Pithoragarh

India’s joint operation with Nepal army started in the military sector of Pithoragarh. This time the drill has been named ‘Suryakiran 12’.

During this ten-day exercise, the teams will practice under the joint strategy of dealing with terrorism in the mountainous regions of both the countries. The exchange of information between the two armies will also be shared during this period. Also, experience will be shared on how to deal with terrorism incidents.

Apart from this, the practice of working with mutual cooperation in the event of disaster will be practiced. In the last year, training was held in Nepal. The year before that it happened in India. In this year’s training, 300 soldiers from both the countries are participating.

In today’s military sector of Pithoragarh, the exercise was inaugurated in the presence of officials of both the countries. On this occasion, Brigadier Ranjan Malik from India and Lieutenant Colonel Tilak Bahadur Thapa from Nepal were present.
