Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman to be conferred upon 5 individuals on state formation day

The Uttarakhand government has announced the first Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award. The government has selected five eminent personalities for the award for their outstanding contribution in five different fields. According to Secretary-in-Charge General Administration Vinod Kumar Suman, late Narayan Dutt Tiwari, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, has been posthumously selected for social service and public service.

Dr. Anil Joshi in the field of environment, Bachendri Pal for adventure sports, Narendra Singh Negi, folk singer for culture and Ruskin Bond in the field of literature have been selected for this award. The five dignitaries will be honored on the occasion of State Foundation Day on Tuesday.

Uttarakhand Mahotsav on State Foundation Day

This time the state foundation day will be celebrated as Uttarakhand Mahotsav. During this festival to be held for a week, programs will be organized from the capital to the Nyaya Panchayat level. On the special occasion of 21st State Foundation Day celebrations, a parade will be held on behalf of Uttarakhand Police personnel at Police Line, Dehradun from 9:55 am to 11:30 am on November 9. The Governor will take the salute of the parade. This will be followed by the address of the Governor and the Chief Minister. CM told the officers to focus on quality and not the number of programs.

Assembly Speaker will honor 21 social workers

Assembly Speaker Premchand Agrawal will honor 21 social workers on the state foundation day on November 9. A felicitation program will be organized in the assembly premises.
