Although the weather is clear at the lower places of Uttarakhand, but this is changing in the high Himalayas. With the rain in the Char dhams, the first snowfall of the season on high peaks is beginning to feel the onset of winter here. The Dehradun based State Meteorological Center has warned of heavy rains at some places in Garhwal on Friday, while 23 and 24 September have declared heavy to very heavy rainfall in the state.
On Thursday, there was an increase in temperature in the lower areas with intense sunlight throughout the day. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is going up two to three degrees more than normal today. On the other hand, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and Hemkund Sahib were sunny in the afternoon, but after noon the weather changed suddenly. Snow has started with sharp rainfall. On the other hand, most of the roads closed from landslide have restored the movement, while debris removal work is going on for dozens more roads.
