Mapping of all industrial units of the state to be done by drone
Mapping of industry units in all the industrial areas of Uttarakhand will be done through drones. The Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) has invited proposals for this. SIDCUL has planned drone mapping of each industrial unit in all its industrial areas. For this, SIDCUL had sent a letter to ITDA.
Accordingly, ITDA is soon going to start drone mapping of all industry units. According to ITDA director Nitika Khandelwal, drone mapping is being started for SIDCUL. She told that the complete report of mapping will be made available to SIDCUL. It is believed that this mapping will ease the way for providing facilities in the industries.
Emphasis on the use of drones in departments
ITDA Director Nitika Khandelwal said that now new avenues for the use of drones are open for the departments under the drone policy. The Agriculture Department has focused on the use of drones for farmers. Soon farmers will be able to use drones for many tasks including spraying medicines in their fields.
