Uttarakhand bundles out Bihar for 60 runs in debut Ranji match

Team Uttarakhand make their debut in Ranji Trophy 2018

Playing in a Ranji match for the first time Team Uttarakhand bundled out Bihar for a mere 60 runs in 22.1 overs in the first innings. Deepak Dhopola was the star with the ball for Uttarakhand picking up 6 wickets for just 13 runs.

The first match between the Uttarakhand and Bihar in Ranji Trophy is being played today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Raipur. Uttarakhand won the toss in the morning and decided to bowl first.

During this, Minister Arvind Pandey and Coordinator of State Cricket Committee Prof. Ratnakar Shetty introduced the players. After that the match started from 9.30. The Bihar team went for batting. Deepak Dhopola of Uttarakhand bowled first from the South Pavilion. And in the very first over, Bihar’s two wickets, Vikas Kumar and Babul Kumar were dismissed.

At the end of the first over, Bihar’s score was two wickets for one run. Bihar lost three wickets in 4.1 overs and scored 13 runs. The fourth wicket was also taken by Deepak Dhopola. Till lunch break Uttarakhand had scored 32 runs for the loss of 1 wicket with opener Karanveer Kaushal still at the crease. The 4 day match will played in Dehradun from Nov 1 to Nov 4.
