Dubatants Uttarakhand couldn’t have dreamt of a better start to their Ranji trophy campaign. Team Uttarakhand have registered convincing wins over their opponents in the 4 matches played so far. Their latest win was against Arunachal Pradesh by an innings and 73 runs. Playing in Assam’s Goalpara stadium Team Uttarakhand registered a win even without their star players Karanveer Kaushal and Deepak Dhopola. Uttarakhand won the toss and invited Arunachal Pradesh to bat first. Only two batsmen from Arunachal were able to cross the double digit mark as the team was bundled out for 105 runs. Team Uttarakhand in reply lost both its openers with the score on 13. But Kartik Joshi stiched partnerships with Vaibhav Panwar and skipper Rajat Bhatia to take Uttarakhand’s score to 470. Kartik remained unbeaten on 208 runs and was ably supported by Rajat Bhatia (152*) who had also scored a hundred in the previous game.Team Uttarakhand declared their innings at 470 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. In reply Arunachal batsmen put up more fight as compared to the first innings but still could not get close to Uttarakhand’s score. They were bowled out for 292 in their second innings. As a result team Uttarakhand remained unbeaten in the plate after 4 games.
