Major IAS-PCS reshuffling in Uttarakhand
The Uttarakhand government has made a major reshuffle of administrative officers in the midst of fight against Coronavirus. Departments of 16 IAS and five PCS officers have been changed. Responsibilities of Public Works Department has been removed from Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash.
While Health and Medical Education Department has been transferred from Nitesh Jha to Amit Negi. Mangesh Ghildiyal who was the DM of Rudraprayag has been made the new DM of Tehri. While the charge of Rudraprayag district has been given to Vandana who was the CDO in Pithoragarh.
Arvind Singh Hayanki will be the new commissioner of Kumaon. RK Sudhanshu has been given the responsibility to overlook the PWD Department. Secretary Amit Negi will now handle the Health and Medical Education Department along with Finance.
Amit Negi has been removed from Disaster management, planning and external aided projects. Principal Secretary Anand Vardhan will take charge of planning and external assistance projects. Shailesh Bagoli has been made Secretary Disaster Management .
Transport Commissioner’s charge has been withdrawn from Bagoli. R Meenakshi Sundaram will also look after the work of the Chief Project Director CPD along with education. Withdrawing health and medical education from Nitesh Jha, he has been given the responsibility of secretary irrigation, minor irrigation and drinking water.
Home and Housing Department will remain with them only. Harvansh Chug has been removed from Panchayati Raj Department and made Secretary Forest and Environment. Chug will also look after labor, sugarcane and sugar departments.
The charge of Panchayati Raj Department has been given to Brijesh Kumar Sant. Sant will continue to work in Sports and Youth Welfare and Secretary of Governor.
The charge of Commissioner Kumaon has been withdrawn from Dr. Neeraj Khairwal. Dependra Kumar Chaudhary,has been made Transport Commissioner and State Property Officer. Saurabh Gaharwar has been made Chief Development Officer Pithoragarh.
Five PCS officers also changed
PCS officer Jharana Kamathan has been removed as Additional Secretary, Women Empowerment and Child Development and has been made Additional Mission Director National Health Mission.
Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Additional Mission Director, National Health Mission has been removed from charge. The charge of Additional Commissioner Housing will remain with him as before.
Arvind Kumar Pandey has been posted as Additional District Officer Administration Dehradun. Ramji Sharan Sharma has been made Additional District Officer Rudraprayag. State Property Officer has been withdrawn from Pradeep Singh Rawat of the Secretariat Service.
