Petrol-diesel in Uttarakhand is set to become expensive. Recently, the government has increased the price of petroleum products by abolishing the tax exemption on petrol and diesel. On Monday, Finance Secretary Amit Negi ordered it. State Government had given concession in petrol and diesel in the state in October, 2018 before the Lok Sabha elections. On petrol so far, Rs 2.50 and one rupee relaxation on diesel was given. In the Cabinet meeting last Wednesday, the government decided to abolish this concession on petrol and diesel. After the exemption, now the petrol in the state will be 75.39 and diesel will be 66.70 liters. Earlier, the central government had increased the price of petrol in petrol by Rs 2.50 per liter and diesel 2.30 per liter in the budget.
