The Uttarakhand government has given Diwali bonuses to about one and a half lakh employees of the state. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday announced Diwali bonus for non-gazetted employees, daily wage earners, corporation employees on the occasion of State Foundation Day.
After this, on Tuesday, Secretary Finance Amit Singh Negi has issued bonus orders for non-gazetted employees and daily wage earners. Orders will be issued separately for corporation employees. According to the order, each employee will be given a bonus of about seven thousand.
So far, the state government has not been able to emerge from the economic pressure regarding the financial situation of the state during the Corona period. Till December, the government has had to raise the market borrowing of about one thousand crore every month. Of this, the government has to spend 700 crore rupees only on the salaries of the employees. In such a situation, the government will have to spend about 125 crore rupees in giving bonus.
