High Court Nainital has directed the government to arrange mobile testing vans in remote areas of the mountain, increase ICU-oxygen beds in hospitals and install CT scan machines. Hearing on the petitions filed on the poor arrangements of quarantine centers on Tuesday, the court asked the government whether non-government hospitals were providing 25 per cent beds to Covid patients. The government has been ordered to submit the detailed report by May 6. A May 10 date has been set for the next hearing of the case. While hearing through video conferencing, a division bench of Chief Justice RS Chauhan and Justice Alok Verma asked the government to ensure the availability of security equipment to the mobile vans, formation of mobile teams, increasing the number of Covid hospitals, personnel of Covid hospitals.
