Over 30 KGMU doctors including VC test positive for Coronavirus

The rapid rise of Corona cases in Uttar Pradesh has become a cause of worry for the medical staff as well as the administration. 38 doctors and 3 health workers, including the vice-chancellor of King George Medical University (KGMU) of Lucknow, have been found infected with corona. Almost all the doctors had taken both doses of the vaccine. KGMU spokesman Dr. Sudhir Kumar said that Vice Chancellor Lt. General Dr. Bipin Puri has been infected for the second time. He is currently in home isolation. He has a fever complaint. Dr. Puri was also infected with Covid last year. After being re-infected, Dr. Puri has said that he did not feel any problem due to taking the vaccine.

Within the last 24 hours, 5,928 new infections have been detected in UP while 30 patients died. Earlier, on September 13, 2020, 6,239 patients were found. Such a large number of patients have been found for about seven months. Active cases have increased to 27,509 in the state.

Night curfew in Punjab, political programs banned

The Punjab government has imposed a night curfew in the state till 30 April. People will not be able to leave their homes from 9 pm to 5 am. The government has also banned any kind of political programs. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that action would also be taken for violation of rules.
