Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt dies aged 36
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Windham Rotunda also known by his stage name Bray Wyatt passed away at the age of 36. He breathed his last on Thursday. It was reported that he died due to a heart attack. WWE official Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced Wyatt’s death on social media.
Paul Levesque posted on X (formerly Twitter) “Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”
According to media reports, Bray Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, was inactive in WWE for the past several months while dealing with an undisclosed health issue. He was associated with WWE since 2009. However, he was not with WWE in 2021 and 2022. He was released for a year and the decision came as a surprise to all. Rotunda returned to WWE last September with much fanfare and a suspenseful storyline, including vignettes, that helped boost television ratings.

Bray Wyatt was a three-time World Champion in WWE, including the WWE Championship once and the Universal Championship twice. He took a break from August 2018 to April 2019 and returned with a new character, The Fiend. Wyatt came from a long line of wrestlers. His father was Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda. According to the news outlet, his grandfather, Blackjack Mulligan, made his mark as a professional wrestler, and continuing the tradition, his uncles, Barry and Kendall Windham, also pursued careers in the wrestling world.
