Uttarakhand corona update: 29 cases found on 21 December; Omicron threat in Doon
The threat of corona virus remains worldwide. The whole world is still suffering from this pandemic. Meanwhile, new variants of Coronavirus are being identified. Today 29 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Uttarakhand. At present, there are still 168 active cases of corona virus in Uttarakhand.
Omicron possibility in Dehradun
A Covid-19 positive couple is suspect for Omicron variant in Dehradun. According to reports, the couple had met their relatives in Delhi, who in turn had returned from abroad recently. The genome sequencing report of this couple is still awaited.
Elderly husband and wife living in an apartment in Rajpur have turned out to be corona infected. The couple returned on December 13 after staying away for four days. Out of which three have turned out to be Omicron infected.The apartment is being sealed. Samples of two domestic helpers of the couple have also been taken. Genome sampling of the elderly couple is being done. CMO Dr. Manoj Upreti told that the elderly couple returned to Delhi, their sample was sent for RTPCR test at Jolly Grant airport. In the investigation, corona infection was confirmed in both.
