Weather alert: Temperatures set to rise from next week predicts IMD

The mercury is rising rapidly in the month of February in Uttarakhand. In the next few days, the maximum temperature in the plain districts is expected to be five to seven degrees above normal, while in the hilly areas it is expected to be eight to 10 degrees above normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the plain districts is likely to reach 31 degree Celsius. Whereas, in the hilly districts, the temperature will be around 29 degrees.

The weather is changing rapidly in all areas including Dehradun of Uttarakhand. Meteorological Director Vikram Singh said that the heat may increase in the plains and hilly areas in the next one or two days.

In the month of February, the highest temperature in 2021 reached 31.8 degrees. This time also the temperature is likely to reach 31 degrees. On the other hand, there are chances of light rain at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh of Uttarakhand.

Temperature likely to reach 40 degree in Gujarat

The temperature is increasing rapidly in many states including the national capital. The maximum temperature in Gujarat has already reached near 40 degrees. In such a situation, the heat of summer has started being felt in February itself. The Meteorological Department has told that heatwave will be seen in Konkan and Kutch region of Gujarat for the next two days. The temperature can reach 40 degrees for the next two days. Heatwave warnings have been issued in Surendra Nagar, Rajkot and Kutch. If we look at the temperature data of the last 11 years, then in 2015 the maximum temperature in the month of February was 37.8 degree Celsius.

On February 16, the record of 71 years was broken in Bhuj and Kutch districts of Gujarat. On the other hand, in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, after 2015, the minimum temperature was recorded at 14.4 degree Celsius on last Saturday in February. The Meteorological Department estimates that the minimum temperature in North and Central India may increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next few days. Actually, this is a sign that the heat is on its way to break the record. According to the Meteorological Department, there is abnormal heat in the coastal states in February.
