Petrol prices fall below Rs 100 after state government reduces VAT

The central government has given a gift to the public on the occasion of Diwali by reducing the prices of petrol and diesel. The skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel has been reduced bringing some relief to the common man. The central government has reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 5 and excise duty on diesel by Rs 10. With this decision of the government, petrol will become cheaper by Rs 5 and diesel by Rs 10. At the same time, after the decision of the central government, the Uttarakhand government has also decided to give an additional relief of two rupees per liter on petrol to the residents of Uttarakhand.
