Uttarakhand corona update: 36 new cases found in last 24 hours

Corona infection has started increasing again in Uttarakhand. In the last 24 hours, 36 new corona infected have been found in the state. At the same time, not a single patient has died. 10 patients were sent home after recovery. The number of active patients has increased to 176. Whereas on Saturday there were 150 active patients in the state.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, the test report of 5336 samples has come negative on Sunday. Not a single infected patient has been found in seven districts of Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi. At the same time, the maximum number of 19 cases have been found in Pauri. Two each have been found in Almora and Haridwar, seven in Nainital, five in Dehradun and one in Udham Singh Nagar.

In Uttarakhand, the government and the health department have become alert for increasing cases of corona infection and prevention of new variants. The department has given instructions for checking of passengers coming from outside states on the borders and conducting Covid tests.

Secretary Health Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey informed that special vigil is being kept on the people coming from outside the state. However, so far no case of the new variant has been reported in India and Uttarakhand. He said that the information of passengers coming from other countries is being sent by the Central Government to the state.

Quarantine for 14 days

The Secretary said that all the districts were instructed that if any passenger coming from outside states shows symptoms of corona, after conducting a Covid test, a 14-day quarantine should be done. For  prevention of infection, sample checking will be done at the borders as well.
