WHO warns about Omicron variant

The WHO said in an update on Saturday that Omicron is spreading rapidly in countries with herd immunity, but it is not clear whether this is due to the virus’s ability to evade immunity. The agency declared it a variant of concern on November 26, immediately after this new variant of Corona first surfaced.
