DU announces date for conducting open book exams for UG-PG final term students

Final year examinations of Delhi University postponed due to corona pandemic will now be held from August 10. Recently, the university told the Delhi High Court that the final year or semester examinations for all UG-PG students will now be held on August 10. All examinations will be conducted in online open book examination mode only.

In an affidavit filed in the Delhi High Court, DU said that it is open examination for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses students of last semester / term / year including School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB). The examination (OBE) will be held from 10 August. The university also informed that the examinations will be completed by 31 August.

Students not unable to give the exam will get another chance

In its affidavit, DU has also stated that if any student is unable to attend the Open Book Examination (OBE), then such students will be given another opportunity. For this, it has been decided to conduct an additional phase of examinations through online, offline or both. Students will be given another chance in view of the situation caused by Corona.

The mock test will start from July 31

The first phase of the mock test will be started from July 27, before the open book examination begins. At the same time, the second mock test will start from August 1. DU reported that there would be 3 sessions of mock tests per day. Earlier, the university had informed the court about the commencement of the examination from August 12. The court had asked DU to consider this. After which now the university has decided to start the exam from 10 August.
