Afghanistan beat Ireland by 7 wickets in Dehradun

The Afghanistan-Ireland Test match was won Afghanistan by seven wickets. Afghanistan scored a modest total of 147 runs and lost only three wickets in the second innings to win their first international test match. With this, Afghanistan also won the one test series. At the same time, this is Afghanistan’s first win in a Test match.

On the fourth day of the Test match between Afghanistan-Ireland in the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. Afghanistan’s team resumed the game with an overnight score of 29 runs. At the start of the fourth day, Afghanistan was 118 runs away from the target.

Rahmat Shah of Afghanistan and Ihsanullah made the Irish bowlers toll. Both batsmen played the shot all around and easily reached the goal. Rahmat Shah scored a fine half-century scoring 76 runs and Ihsanullah scored unbeaten 65 runs. Afghanistan won by 149 runs losing three wickets. On behalf of Ireland, McBrine and James Cameron took one wicket each.

In the first innings too Rahmat Shah was the top scorer with 98 runs. Rahmat Shah was adjudged man of the match due to his half-century in both innings.

Earlier, the five-match ODI series between Afghanistan and Ireland was drawn 2-2. Afghanistan made all efforts to grab the series by winning the inaugural matches, but in the last match, Ireland made things even with a spectacular return.
