The Union Public Service Commission has announced the date of Civil Services (IAS) and Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination 2020 today, as per its earlier announcement. The UPSC has announced the dates for the release of the IAS Prelims 2020 as well as the pending examination for the year 2020. These exams include NDA (1), IES / ISS, Geo-Scientist, Engineering Services, CMS exam and CAPF exam.
The Commission had recently released an update regarding the IAS Prelims 2020 date that the date of examination will be announced on June 5. However, the UPSC said in its update that the announcement regarding the date and date of the holding of Civil Services Prelims 2020 will be made after the necessary evaluation in relation to the status of Covid-19.
The examination had to be postponed due to the lock-down imposed in the wake of lockdown imposed due to Covid-19 pandemic across the country. The Commission, in an officially released update, saying that the IAS and IFS Prelims 2020 would be announced after taking stock of the epidemic situation on 5 June.
Notification of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 was jointly issued on 12 February by the Union Public Service Commission on the Commission’s official website, upsc.gov.in The applications for the examinations started on the UPSC application portal, upsconline.nic.in, which ran till 3 March 2020.
