The marquee player, who has been out of the Asia Cup, has suffered a right knee injury. Now he is expected to undergo a major surgery. In such a situation, he can be away from cricket indefinitely. It is believed that Jadeja may be out for three-four months after the surgery. It may even take longer to recover.

Jadeja, who balanced the team in the first two matches of the Asia Cup against Pakistan and Hong Kong, did a brilliant job. The absence of this 33-year-old all rounder will be a major setback for Rohit Sharma’s team.
