Uttarakhand leader of opposition Dr Indira Hridayesh passes away in Delhi

Senior leader of Uttarakhand Congress and Leader of Opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh passed away on Sunday. After her death, there has been a wave of shock in the Congress party. Dr Hridayesh had gone to New Delhi to attend an important meeting of the Congress organization. There she breathed her last in Uttarakhand Sadan. Her son Sumit Hridayesh has confirmed this. Leader of Opposition Indira Hridayesh was 80 years old. She was famous as Iron Lady in the politics of Uttarakhand. She started his political journey from Uttar Pradesh and ended as Leader of Opposition. Her body is being brought from Delhi to Haldwani.

She was 80 years old. She had gone to Delhi to attend the Congress meeting held on Saturday. Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Congress State President Pritam Singh have expressed deep grief over the demise of Dr. Indira Hridayesh. Dr Hridayesh, representing the Haldwani assembly seat, suddenly took ill at the Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi on Sunday morning and died shortly after. It was told that she had suffered a heart attack.

Dr Indira Hridayesh was corona infected a few months ago, but after recovering from it, she soon became active in political activities. These days she was busy in strengthening the party in order to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections in the state. In this episode, she had gone to Delhi to attend a meeting called by state in-charge Devendra Yadav on Saturday. State Congress President Pritam Singh was also present in the Uttarakhand Sadan on Sunday.
