Over 1 lakh register for Chardham Yatra 2023
Within four days, the number of registrations for Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham has reached one lakh. Looking at the initial trend of registration, the government is hopeful of creating a new record in Chardham Yatra this time also.
Char Dham Yatra will start in the country from 22 April 2023. The date for opening the doors of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham has been fixed. At present one can register online to visit Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham.
Deputy Director Tourism Yogendra Gangwar said that till Friday about one lakh devotees have registered for the pilgrimage to Kedarnath and Badrinath. In this, 54 thousand pilgrims have registered for Kedarnath and more than 44 thousand for Badrinath.
Tourism minister Satpal Maharj said, ‘The kind of enthusiasm the pilgrims have for registration in four days. Looking at that, this time also Chardham Yatra will create a new record. All arrangements are being made by the government to make the journey smooth and safe.’
