Quest on to make new assembly building in Raipur area of Dehradun

After Garasain was made the summer capital of Uttarakhand, now the exercise has started for the new assembly building in Raipur, Dehradun. In this episode, Assembly Speaker Premchand Agarwal on Friday consulted the officials of the State Property Department. On this occasion, it was informed that seven crore rupees have been given to the Forest Department for the transfer of selected forest land for the construction of Assembly, Secretariat building between Raipur-Bhopalpani. Now 15.37 crore rupees have to be given for elephant corridor. Only then will it be duly approved by the Center.

After Uttarakhand came into existence, Dehradun was made the temporary capital of the state. The Vikas Bhawan near the Rispana bridge was converted into an assembly building, while a secretariat was established about seven km from here. After this, the exercise took place in view of making the new Legislature, Secretariat in one place. For this, about 60 hectares of forest land was selected between Raipur and Bhopalpani in Raipur area of ​​Dehradun. Meanwhile, in 2012, Rs 75 crore was approved for this. In spite of the in principle approval, the initiative in this direction did not proceed.

The government gave orders regarding weekly closure of markets for sanitization under the Uttarakhand Epidemic Diseases, Covid-19 Regulations, 2020 Epidemic Disease Act 1987.
